Well, this is where we tell you what we've gotten as deals. If I find a particularly good deal on a travel site I'll post it here too. Let me know if you want me to just email you with deals as I get them, especially if I find something phenomenal. The great thing about Vegas is that you can get a very nice room for less than $100.00, sometimes MUCH less. In our case, the Riviera is $54.00 a night most nights.
Midwest is having a sale until October 21, for flights to Vegas from both Flint and Milwaukee. Don't forget to also put in the code (See below). Looks like if you change the dates for Friday to Monday, etc. it gets cheaper.
We are finally in the time frame that deals come out with hotel/airfare packages. Check out the local paper (Milwaukee folks) or Expedia, Travelocity. But still check calculate to see if the airline and hotel deal we got will beat what you find! As always, you may call us anytime and Monique can help you search.
Airfare:
We have a 10% discount on Midwest (see below for code). But you have to book by 60 days prior to your travel. As of this update (October 12, 2008), we are approximately 80 days out. You still get a discount after this, but it isn't as much.
Midwest Airlines - 10% off your ticket! Flies out of Flint and out of Milwaukee. Has nonstop flights. Enter in code: CMZ4360 . I recommend you get your flight as soon as possible. NOTE: Check if it is cheaper to fly back home to WI/MI on Mon/Tues. Sometimes I saw it was a big difference! Try Monday if the flight comes up a bit much Thurs/Fri to Sunday. Plug in Thurs/Fri to Monday!
Info: You can travel up to 7 days prior and 7 days after our wedding date of January 3, 2009. As long as you purchase the ticket more than 60 days prior to travel you get 10%, if you purchase within 60 days then it is 6% off. Just enter the code in. Hotel:
We arranged a block of rooms in Las Vegas at the newly renovated Riviera (this isn't the site of any wedding festivities, but it is nearby). We have rates the wedding weekend of $54.00/night. I also had some interest in rates for New Year's. The rates are half if not more than that, less than any other hotel for that night. Even the cheapest hotels take advantage of New Year's (the weekend at any hotel should be normal rates, as that is actually down-time for Vegas). We have a few rooms booked for the following dates.
